John J. Barrett, Jr., age 47, of Gloucester City, passed away on October 6, 2018. Born in Camden, NJ, he was a resident of Gloucester City for most of his life. John loved tattoos, motorcycles, heavy metal music, and prayed to the altar of Ozzy Osbourne. He was known for being a straight shooter with a big heart. Most of all, John will be remembered as a loving and compassionate soul with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. John is survived by his parents, John Sr. and Rose (nee Crusco) Barrett; brother, Michael Barrett and Andrea Pallies; significant other, Cindy Merrill; nephew, Edward Barrett; aunt, Joyce Crusco Richmond; uncle, Frank Crusco and Shelagh; uncle Noel Conklin and family; best friend Jerome Barton; and many cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial gathering on October 20, 2018 from 11am to 12 pm, at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home, located at 2426 Cove Rd., Pennsauken, NJ 08109. A memorial service will begin at 12 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org.
