Ernestina Figueroa

God called our beloved Ernestina Figueroa to his heavenly home on Friday, January 6, 2017. She went peacefully surrounded by her immediate loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Juana Martinez Gonzalez. Ernestina was born on May 06, 1937 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. In her teenage years she met her soul mate and married Jose Dolores Figueroa and together they had five children, Ernesto, Mario, Nelly, Maria and Nancy. She spent her life caring for her loved ones. She was the matriarch of her family. She adored her grandkids and was always concerned with their well being. She cooked every single day, her house would be spotless and she gave her time selflessly to her family. She dedicated her life to her husband and followed through with the saying “till death do us part.” Even in death, she remained loyal to her soul mate, the love of her life, the only man that could make her smile. Her legacy will live on through her family. Preceding Ernestina in death was her husband, the late Jose Dolores Figueroa, her mother Juana Martinez Gonzalez, her three siblings Virginia, Ernesto and Efraim. She leaves to celebrate her legacy her five children, Ernesto, Amalio, Nelly, Maria and Nancy; her eight grandchildren, Monique, Alex, Felix, Arielle, Julianna, Orlando Jr., Marcus and Kayla; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends, relatives and the household of faith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on January 11, 2017 from 9am-11am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, located at 2818 River Rd, Camden, NJ 08105.
